Pediatrician and researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, whose research made the first link between lead exposure and health and intelligence issues in children. A psychiatrist, he was a professor of psychiatry and pediatrics at Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. His research in lead contamination resulted in companies removing lead additives from gasoline and other products.
